A small abandoned camp was discovered at the southernmost tip of the continent. Behind the camp, in the bordering mountains, were caves holding the memories of the ancestors of our people, going back for generations. These were communicated to the Elders through dreams and the singing of the Shaman.

The backstory to this album (the Dyatlov incident in Russia in 1959) is fascinating. The music succeeds at creating a mood of mystery, but leaves the story to the listener's imagination. This album expects a lot from the listener, as long sections have wind noise and not much variation. But I keep coming back to it and listening again. It just works! mudshrimpmoe
